When it comes to holistic and preventative health, at Anchor we treat the physical body and also address emotional, social, spiritual and intellectual health. Our team consist of a registered Psychotherapist (RSW), registered Massage therapists (RMTs) and a licensed Chiropractic doctor working together, making the mind body connections. Policies

Booking, Cancelling & Rescheduling Appointments

You may book, cancel (within 24hrs.) or reschedule therapy appointments independently via our Patient Portal , by emailing info@wpganchor.ca or calling 204-415-3202.

Late Cancellation Fee

Please cancel your appointment at least 24 hours in advance; otherwise, a Late Cancellation fee of $40.00 will apply. Cancellations after the cutoff time must be made by calling the clinic at 204-415-3202.

Arriving Late To Appointments

If you anticipate arriving late, please call us to inform us.

Patients arriving late may be charged for the originally reserved service time, or the appointment may be adjusted to a shorter duration, at the practitioner's discretion.

*Please do not arrive earlier than 15 minutes prior, as we do not have reception services.*

Payment Methods

We accept debit, credit, E-transfer, and cash payments.

Direct Billing

We offer direct billing services to most insurance companies however we highly recommend that you call your extended health provider to confirm therapy coverage and requirements before your appointment.

Please enter your information into the "Health Insurance" section of your Patient Portal .

You may also upload therapy perscriptions or any documents needed into the "Documents" section of your Patient Portal.

Intake Forms

Direct billing and treatment consent is a requirement, access forms via your Patient Portal.

Parking

There is plenty of street parking available nearby. Weekdays parking costs $1.75/hr and after 5:30pm it is free. There is a complimentary parking on weekends. Yes, we are open weekends! Pay for Parking online here.

Security

Our entrance door is locked, as we are "by appoitnment" only. Please knock, your practitioner will greet you promptly.

Patient Confidentiality

All practitioners adhere to the Personal Health Information Act (PHIA) in Canada, safeguarding your healthcare information with the utmost confidentiality.

Clinic Sanitation

At Anchor Massage & Therapy, we prioritize sanitation:

  • All treatment room and contact surfaces are sanitized after each patient.
  • Decor is designed for easy cleaning.
  • Linens are freshly laundered and changed for each patient.

Massage Therapy:

  • Evaluate patients' soft tissue condition, joint quality, muscle strength, and range of motion.
  • Discuss patients' medical histories and stress or pain issues to determine the suitability of massage therapy.
  • Develop and propose patient treatment plans.
  • Administer massages to address medical conditions, injuries, or wellness maintenance.
  • Prepare and apply customized oil blends to patients' skin.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create comprehensive treatment plans.

We offer a variety of therapeutic treatments to address different needs and conditions:

  • Deep Tissue Massage is ideal for pain or injury recovery.
  • Our Prenatal Massage is specially designed for expectant mothers and utilizes pregnancy bolsters to ensure comfort and safety.
  • Stress-Reduction Massage is focused on enhancing relaxation and reducing stress.
  • For muscle & facial restrictions or chronic pain we offer treatments such as Cupping + Massage and Assisted Stretch + Massage.
  • To address other pain conditions, swelling, or hormonal imbalances, we provide Acupuncture + Massage.

Our skilled therapists employ a range of techniques, including Swedish massage, muscle stripping and kneading, Myofascial Release (MFR), Trigger Point Therapy, low-grade joint mobilization, stretching techniques like Active Release, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF), Golgi Tendon Organ Release/Activation (GTO), Muscle Energy Techniques (MET), IASTM tools, taping and hydrotherapy.

Welcome! I'm Sara, owner and practtioner.A graduate of The Massage Therapy College of Manitoba (Winnipeg, 2013) and The Sunshine School of Traditional Thai Massage (Chiang Mai, Thailand, 2015). I hold certifications in Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), Joint mobilizations, Dermoneuromodulating, Acupuncture, and Neuroproprioceptive taping.

I approach therapy with a holistic and compassionate mindset, grounded in thorough assessments. My area of specialization is in addressing low back pain. I firmly believe in the vital connection between movement and the mind-body. As a multi-sport athlete currently competing in triathlons, I bring years of practical experience to my treatments. My name is Rebecca, and I exclusively provide virtual therapy services to adults and adolescents (15+). I hold a Master's degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Manitoba. I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) recognized by the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, and I am also a Registered Social Worker (RSW) accredited by the Manitoba College of Social Workers.

In my therapeutic work, I partner with clients to help them establish goals aimed at personal growth and improved relational well-being. I utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions to facilitate this process. My guiding philosophy is rooted in the belief that many of our emotional and psychological challenges stem from trauma. Therefore, my counselling approach is trauma-informed, holistic, emotion-focused, and relational.

I'm Hannah, and I'm a graduate of the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in Victoria, BC. Throughout my career, I have gained valuable experience working in various professional settings, including massage clinics and physiotherapy clinics. My particular areas of expertise and interest include shoulder complex treatments, Myofascial Release (MFR), Active Release techniques, and Trigger Point therapy.

On a personal note, I come from a family with a strong connection to water. I used to play water polo, and to this day, I continue to swim weekly with my 92-year-old grandmother. In my practice, I focus on assessment-based massage therapy treatments that promote balance throughout the body and mind. To achieve this, I employ various Cupping techniques, Myofascial Release (MFR), Trigger Point therapy, and encourage diaphragmatic breathing. Creating a safe, non-judgmental space for my patients is of utmost importance to me, as it allows individuals to comfortably discuss their unique needs. This, in turn, enables me to tailor my treatments to each person's specific requirements.
